Glazed Apple Butter Blondies

Apple butter blondies are an easy, indulgent treat you can enjoy in less than an hour.

If you have a box of apples, you have endless dessert possibilities. (Although, even just a few apples will do.)

But I like to buy my apples by the box lately. Which of course means, I have enjoyed learning new recipes to use them up!

Apples make so many delicious treats besides your average apple pie.

And these delectable glazed apple butter blondies might just be one of my favorite new apple desserts.

Making Apple Butter Blondies

This recipe is three parts: the blondie batter, the fresh apple topping, and the glaze.

You’ll start with apple butter (homemade or store bought), mixed with butter and brown sugar in a saucepan.

Then you’ll add in eggs, vanilla and all of the dry ingredients.

The batter goes into a 9×13 baking dish.

Then you’ll dice up 2 medium apples. No need to peel these, unless you just prefer them peeled.

You want to choose a firm variety like Honeycrisp, Granny Smith or Gala. These hold up to baking well and usually won’t turn to mush!

Next, you’ll toss the apples with some brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle these over the blondie batter.

*I’m really loving this Vietnamese cinnamon lately, if you want something fun to try! It has a nice, mild and slightly sweet flavor.

After the blondies are baked and cooled, you will make a simple glaze with maple syrup, powdered sugar, cinnamon (see the theme here?) and salt.

Simply drizzle the glaze over your blondies and allow to set a few minutes; then serve!

Easy Peasy Apple Bar Dessert

I love how these apple blondie bars are easy to eat for a quick weekday treat (or even breakfast), but also beautiful to serve to company.

Any type of baked goods I can make in a 9×13 pan is usually a winner in my book. Fussy sweets are generally saved for special occasions!

I hope you enjoy these simple apple blondies as much as we do. Give it a share on Pinterest, if so!
