5 Ways to Enjoy the Genesis Box from Artza This Spring

We’re finally seeing signs of life outdoors as the fruit trees start to bud and longer, warmer days make their appearance here in the Midwest.

And with a new season comes a new Artza box to enjoy!

What is an Artza box, exactly?

In short, it’s a subscription box that merges faith, artistry and craftsmanship and delivers it all the way from the Holy Land, to your front door.

Unique Christian Gifts for Women That Also Give Back

Note: I received a free box in exchange for this review; however, we’ve also purchased Artza boxes as gifts and have greatly enjoyed partnering with Artza through the years.

Below are 5 ways we’re using the Genesis box from Artza in our home this Spring, and how you can get the most from your subscription, too.

1| A Reminder to Pray for Israel

There are no shortages of reasons to pray for Israel in any season.

But after nearly 18 months of war and tragedy, Israel needs our prayers more than ever.

Many hostages are still in need of rescue, and long to be reunited with their loved ones. The weight of grief and loss is heavy.

As Christians, we have a special privilege to pray for the nation of Israel, Gods chosen people and for the place Jesus will one day return to. (Zechariah 14:4).

In this quarter’s box, one item you’ll find is the Genesis journal.

In it are Scriptures, Hebrew phrases, poetry and space to fill with your own prayers for each month of the year.

As we petition the Lord for the needs in our personal lives, we can use this journal to write down specific needs facing our friends in Israel, too.

2| A Way to Learn about the Culture of Israel (and their amazing food!)

In each box from Artza, you’ll not only find information about the local artisans who made the items inside, but you’ll get a glimpse into the culture of Israel.

For instance, the Challah Mixture Topping in this box is meant to be sprinkled on top of a traditional Challah loaf.

I’ve made lots of breads, and Challah is one I’ve wanted to try for a while!

There is a recipe for Challah bread included in the box that I can’t wait to try.

Also included are Halva coated peanuts. Halva is a traditional Middle East treat and is simply delicious (and rather addicting- fair warning)!

The De Karina chocolates included are another sweet surprise. They also represent the resiliency of a business handed down through generations (and still persisting despite a year of missile fire.)

We’ve used Artza many times in our homeschool studies. You can combine geography, history, Bible, the Arts, life skills (cooking) all in one!

There is always something new in each box to learn, while encouraging creativity.

3| Beautiful Home Decor

We’ve partnered with Artza for several years now, and I’m never disappointed with the beautiful art pieces I’ve received.

In this box is an intricately painted Creation Serving Tray; inspired by the book of Genesis.

This lovely piece could be used in any room of the house. I found it to be the perfect size for a large trinket dish, with plenty of room for jewelry and other items.

Another piece I loved was the framed hand cut Paper Artwork. It depicts Israel’s map surrounded by nature, coupled with a prayer for peace.

It fits nicely on a tabletop display and is yet another reminder to pray for Israel.

Lastly, the exquisite Hand-Painted Candle Holder Set features Genesis 1:4, reminding us of God’s first act of creation: bringing light into the world.

I love the idea of using these candles at meal times and reflecting on the Light of the World: a light that “shines in the darkness, yet the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)

4| One-of-a-kind Christian Gift Idea

An Artza subscription makes an amazing gift for your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Even if you decide to try a box for yourself, there are beautiful, quality pieces in each box that you can bundle and gift to others to spread the joy.

Sometimes it’s hard to think of a gift you haven’t given your friends a dozen times over. But Artza makes it easy to give gifts they won’t find anywhere else.

With unique pieces from the Holy Land, you can be sure to give a Christian gift that’s infused with meaning, culture and a connection to the roots of their faith.

5| A Way to Support Israeli Small Businesses

When you buy an Artza box, you are not only getting to experience the Holy Land and enjoy its beauty; you’re also supporting small businesses who are in great need at this time.

With tourism on the decline since 2020, and then again since the October 7th, 2023 attacks (and ongoing war), many Israeli businesses are struggling.

As you can see, there’s never been a better time to try Artza in your home!
